Role
Being a governor is an important role which requires commitment and dedication. Each member contributes to the work of the Governing Body in raising standards of achievement for all pupils.
Governors are expected to provide a strategic lead and to act as a critical friend to the academy ensuring there is a consistently high provision of quality education at the academy. Governors must also ensure financial solvency and probity with effective management of financial resources to raise standards.
The Governing Body is comprised of a mixture of parents, staff and individuals from within the community whose principal purpose is to ensure that every child in the academy makes the best possible progress.
